Home Visits

Home visits are made for those who need to see a Doctor, but are too ill to attend.

If you need to see a Doctor, but are too unwell to attend the surgery, please contact reception before 10.00am and give a complete description of the patient’s condition, so that the Doctor can decide how urgent the condition is. The receptionists will maintain absolute confidentiality regarding this information.

Please do not ask your Doctor to make a home visit if you are well enough to attend, as the Doctor must then leave the surgery and this will give a less efficient service to the patients who are at the surgery.

A visit to the surgery is often preferable because there is more equipment at the surgery and so it is possible to examine and treat the patient more completely.
